When a child learns to read, the world opens. Children love books and need to own them

Children in Nicaragua rarely ever own books, or even have opportunity to read them.

At Granada Preparatory, we have a library where our students can check out and take home books to read.

Chavalos Nica also supports the free library, Puedo Leer, in Granada.

While being able to borrow books is wonderful, we believe that children should have the opportunity to own books.

Chavalos Nica's Books in Hands project buys books and gives them to children.

You can help these children have books so they can read.
