Shoes for School

Many children in Nicaragua never have a pair of real shoes. They either go bare-footed or wear rubber shower shoes that can be purchased in the market for pennies.

Going to school without proper shoes is both bad for a child's self-esteem and unsafe because of the dirt and garbage encountered along most streets.

Chavalos Nica's Shoes for School project provides real school shoes for kids who need them.
